This work came about during the editing process of another project, in which I have been photographing large cities. In this project I use a strange and complex camera to operate - a kind of photographic Frankenstein, with a tilting body and attached digital sensor. Because of the difficulty of operation, sometimes I press the shutter button before the sensor is fully ready to receive the image. The result is these glitches , as the "failures" created by digital devices are known.

The images appear randomly, as if the camera had a will of its own. I see this series as a collaborative work between me and the machine - a futuristic proposal for cyberpunk art. I am pleased that they emerged during this investigation of the urban world because, by merging the theme of cities and digital dystopia, these glitches seem to represent the extremely problematic world that awaits us.
